Teaching
Throughout most of my maths career I've done teaching in some shape or form:
University of Oxford
-
Mathematical Institute:
For the Oxford maths department, I have organised the Topology Advanced Class on
- Factorisation algebras following Costello-Gwilliam. Lecture plan here.
- Six-Functor Formalisms following Scholze. Lecture plan here.
- Conformal Field Thoery following Fuchs-Runkel-Schweigert.
I've acted as
- Class Tutor for Algebraic Topology, Homological Algebra, Lie Groups, and Computational Algebraic Topology.
- Teaching assistant for Algebraic Topology, Homological Algebra, Lie Groups, Computational Algebraic Topology, Geometry of Surfaces, Topology and Groups.
The department also awarded me the Departmental Teaching Award in 2016.
-
Lincoln College:
I was a Stipendiary Lecturer in Algebra, tutoring for the first and second year algebra courses.
-
University College:
I was a Junior Lecturer for two years at my college, Univ. As part of this, I taught Prelims (first year's) Linear Algebra and Groups and Group Actions.
-
Williams-Exeter Programme:
I ran one-on-one tutorials for an exchange student on Geometry of Surfaces.
University of Copenhagen
- I was one of the two lecturers for Algebraic Topology 1.5, two years in a row.
- Mikkel Emil Thor Frøland wrote his Bachelor thesis entitled ``Dualizable Algebras'' under my supervision.
- I supervised several reading courses on Topological Quantum Field Theory and related topics.
Utrecht University
During my time at Utrecht University, I was a student assistant for several courses: Multidimensional Real Analysis, Functional Analysis, Smooth Manifolds, and Riemann Surfaces.
